Domain Names Registration Follow Up

What I am about to say is very important. Do not register a load of domain names because the process that I will outline in this blog is very elaborate and time consuming, and it has to be repeated for each and every domain name you register. So if you already have a bunch of them before starting then you have increased your work load exponentially. You will need about 8 hours per domain name, so you will want to work each domain name one at a time to make sure that the process is completed correctly. Also the idea of a large workload causes stress; hence, you may back down from doing the work altogether because it is stressful; just keep that in mind.

Domain Names Registration

The first key to success in Domaining is to pick a catchy name that consists of popular keywords. Such as chocolate-dessert.com; take note of the sheer simplicity. 'Chocolate', a very popular keyword that is punched into search engines approximately 3233 times every single day. While 'dessert' gets searched 453 times per day. Now take note of the phrase "search engine" because that's what you need to be devoted to; if you want to become a domaining phenom. Your overall goal for your domain is to have it indexed and ranked highly in search engines; not just Google, but all of them.
Analysis: Domain Names Registration
1)Choosing a good name takes time and research. Pick a topic that's popular and then research any keywords that you can use in your domain name to make sure that they are popular as well. The reason it takes so much time is because many of the names that sound or look like they have good potential; are already taken.
2)Does the name have star power? Super star sites such as yahoo.com are being mimiced by smart domainers with names such as yaho.com. This is a form of typo-squatting or picking a name that is almost exactly the same as a poplular name with a minor difference such as a commonly mistyped letter. This is a traditional form of domaining in which mispelled popular names yield direct navigation traffic for the domainer. However as I've said in a previous post direct navigation traffic is a rarity due to the development of the search engine. Remember to focus on the phrase "search engine" and try to stray away from typo-squatting. Moreover, typo-squatting can lead to legal issues and many big companies are now protecting their names by purchasing similar names. For instance, the name amzon.com is owned by Amazon and is redirected to their online megastore.
Next time on Domain Names I will discuss a traditional form of domaining known as Cash Parking.
